Non-Stop Movie Poster

It's Liam Neeson. In fact, there is no need to think of a movie title if Liam Neeson is the main lead. Just name it Liam Neeson 1, Liam Neeson 2 etc. and people will still watch his movies. He is that good.

Non-Stop movie still
"PUT YOUR HANDS UP IN THE AIR, WE'RE GONNA PARTY ON THE PLANE!" - DJ LiamNeeson

Movie Title - Non-Stop

Genre:
+  (Action + Thriller. Any movies with Liam Neeson is guaranteed this genre)

Synopsis: The scene opens with Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) having a few encounters with the people that is going to be on the same flight as him. The first 10 minutes or so is like the calm before the storm, setting up the audience for a dramatic turn of a seemingly normal air flight.

Then it begins...

Bill receives a text mid-air:

"Hello Marshal",

"I'm going to kill someone on this plane every 20 minutes"

(Sidetrack: He also received a phone call in Taken where he said one of the most famous lines in movie history. Seems like his enemies only threaten him with a phone.)

And then a series of events unfold while Bill tries to capture the mystery person.

Review: Seriously, what is up with Liam Neeson and his daughter(s)? It is like almost everytime, his daughter will meet with a mishap. Looks like Bad Luck Brian found his soulmate - anyone that plays Liam Neeson's daughter.

Bad Luck Brian finally has a soulmate

Anyways, the plot really makes you grip the edge of the seat as you really do not know what is going to happen. The scene could be just Bill smoking in the cubicle, but your paranoid mind is always wondering if something is going to happen.

Despite it being a thriller, the show also manages to squeeze in some laughter with a dumb-black character and typical plane-bomb jokes associated with a Muslim character. There is this one scene where Bill tried to calm everyone down with "something". It was super hilarious and out of the blue, as the situation then was pretty chaotic. Another scene which was LOL was when Bill was conducting "random spot checks" on the passengers. Bill came up to the dumb-black guy and asked to check his phone but the black guy refused to let Bill check his phone. What eventually happened was really funny!

The one that really got me gripping the edge of the seat though was not the revelation of the killer but something else during the last 10 minutes of the film, where the plane was in a precarious situation. It is because the plot borders on being silly when you finally get to know the motivations of the killer. If you have been spoilt by brilliant story-lines and plot twists from various movies in the past, you will find that the revelation and conclusion is a bit weak and unsatisfying.

However, Non-Stop manages to introduce more suspense as the movie progresses. There are also some solid plot twists and heart-pounding action scenes which will delight you. It is definitely a popcorn movie that is worth watching.

As cliched as it sounds, as long as you just sit back, you will enjoy the ride.

Stay back for: No after-credits, so you can actually stop watching when the credits for Non-Stop roll (pun intended)
